Who are we? GPF in English

General Practitioners in Finland (GPF) oversees the benefits of GP's

The goal of our association is to improve primary health care and to create a stronger professional identity for the general practitioner. We cooperate closely with The Finnish Medical Association as one of the important groupings that influence and form opinions on health care in Finland. Other main associations are Junior Doctors' Association in Finland (NLY) and The Finnish Association for Medical Specialists (SELY). We also work closely with The Finnish Association for General Practice (SYLY).

There are about 3800 physicians that work in health centres around the country. This includes the doctors that are enrolled in specific training in general medical practice.

We publish our own magazine, The GP, or Yleislääkäri, as we call it. To examine it on the Internet, click here.
